The best phone number to give out is 202-456-1414. When they answer on the line you just called, they say 3 words ( The White House ) it is the switchboard number. Has been for years. I would pay good money to see the look on their faces when they call that number. And how did I find out? I was laying over in West Allis, WI to load the next day & I went to see a movie with Michael Douglas in An American President. A quarter of the way thru the movie the phone number was mentioned in a scene. So I called it the next day, & have used it ever since. von.

Most security check in people @ a company's gate are professional in nature. It's just a few who are the ### h**** of the world. I have always thought those types of security are wanna be cops who never will be cops. And a sawbuck says they flunked the psych test. But, I am sad to say, some did pass the psych test & hopefully they won't be the one to pull you over. von.

I offer them one of my concealed carry permits. If they do not accept one of those official State issued IDs then that's their problem. These days your social security number is directly associated with your commercial driver's license thanks to the Real ID Act. I won't even show them my DL. It's none of their business. I'm the Carrier and the Driver.
Coover and csmith1281 Thank this. -
When I see a shipper/receiver has a sign in log and it asks for driver license info, I just make one up. I run ltl p&d, so if I ever have to produce it, it's none of their business. Knock on wood, haven't had any problems yet.

I have to give the OP credit. He was a one post wonder. He came on, made a single post and never returned and yet his single post is still active 12 years later. Kudos, man.

Eh, it’s annoying but your drivers license is public information anyway. All I need is a name and the clerk of courts will spill your DL number, DOB, address, voter registration info etc..

You have to know a state as well. All traffic violations/law suits share that information to the public. Type your name into an online clerk of courts database you can go back about 10 years here in Florida.

Maryland Judiciary Case Search Disclaimercsmith1281 Thanks this. -
Just picked up at Sheerer’s snacks in Phoenix. I told him I didn’t want to give them my drivers license number, and that it was against the law. They said “I don’t know anything about the law. That’s just company policy.” Funny how when you say they’re breaking the law they don’t seem to give a crap. “Well, we have thousands of other drivers come here every day.“ If they jumped off a bridge…
Isn’t there someway to report people who violate the law?
