Yeah, they're forecasting snow from Little Rock all the way over to the middle of North Carolina. If living in NC taught me one thing, it's that Southerners can't drive on snow. At all. Even if they moved there from the northeast (like about half of them did).NavigatorWife, Oxbow and mjd4277 Thank this.

I always look for the FedEx truck in the big pileups. It doesn't really qualify as a "big pileup" until there's a FedEx in the mix. I wonder how many trucks there are in the average pileup is before there's a greater than 50% chance that there's a FedEx truck somewhere near the front. 20? 30? 50?NavigatorWife and mjd4277 Thank this.

I think they're calling for some ice as well in NC and SC...guess they'll be having the redneck ice follies.NavigatorWife, Bud A. and mjd4277 Thank this.

Problem with newbies is they cannot focus on the road ahead and following too close. We see it up here, the towel heads bunch up tighter than a nuns #### and one unexpected move and they are all in a cluster ####LoneCowboy, stayinback, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this.

Nobody has time for common sense. You will get there faster if you ignore it...

Sunday timeframe 4+ inch forecast accumulation potential map ...
4+ inches in that area is always ugly and renders travel virtually impossible -
So where are the two trucks that mostly caused that?
The beer truck, and the truck with tractor supplies?Bud A. Thanks this. -
I was in Laramie about the time that happened... Elk Mountain had 1 blown over rig in the median, and 1 large camptrailer or RV (couldnt tell which from my angle of view) rolled/blown? over blocking the westbound hammer lane. I saw another rig on it's side in the median in western Nebraska.
Bud A., NavigatorWife, mjd4277 and 1 other person Thank this. -
This is why I choose U.S 6 and U.S. 491 if possible.
Not that they might not actually be worse weather wise, but not even close to the volume of traffic.
And just the phrase "two lane" chases away many.Bud A., NavigatorWife, stayinback and 2 others Thank this.
