I have a question ( Raises hand ).
You didn't know the truck was altered when you bought it?
You never wondered why you never needed to buy DEF?dog-c, tinytim, x1Heavy and 1 other person Thank this. -

Sale of illegally modified equipment and no disclosure.dog-c Thanks this.

Is that how it went?

Back in the good ole days. We would have had one heck of truckstop BBQ with that chicken.

I suspect that anyone who ran a truck like that and sold it to someone without warning them is going to be a sufficiently knowledgeable criminal that they don't actually 'own' anything.
Might be worth looking at, but at this point, I doubt the effort would get a worthwhile reward after the lawyer is paid for.
HOWEVER, it might be interesting to approach DOT and tell them what modifications the truck was sold with, AFTER the illegal modifications are fixed. DOT would possibly consider making the seller's life difficult, without costing the OP anything.Tb0n3 Thanks this.
