no. only on as need base. so any damage you cause over $1k. you got 48 hours to summit your phone and text log. you only summit the 24 hours that the damage was in. remember if you summit more then that. they will look at it. also after 48 hours of not turning in phone and text log. you wont be on dispatch status until you do and are cleared. after 45 days or 30 days. cant remember. if no log summited, then your toast.

    06driver and flowlow98 Thank this.

It’s word of mouth that gets spread around. I mean we no phone at my company but they don’t enforce it

No....the only time my safety manager said he'd ask for the records is if you had a preventable accident. Then yes.....otherwise nope.

I'll be frank. The phone policy is crap. The way it is set up is ridiculous. If I talked on the phone for 10:30 at 7am and then backed into a pole at 330pm at a store 400 miles away from where the phone call took place, they would fire me. And they have fired (lost) a lot of #### good drivers over it. Now, I could understand if you were on the phone when the accident occurred, but the way it is worded now makes no sense other than to go on a fishing expedition.

The camera problem is an easy fix. A little electrical tape will take care of the camera. Most trucks I've been in already have the cameras covered up.

Overall, Walmart is a good outfit. You just have to get passed all the corporate ######## first.

    flowlow98 and MilkyJay Thank this.

Dont get into a preventable accident and you can talk as long as you like. But you run that risk.

You raise a great point. Supposedly middle management is in talks with the crystal palace about this issue.

Depending upon severity of incident/accident and then assigning step level accordingly. Zero tolerance policies are asinine, every situation is different

There is and has been some GTM and CSAP leeway.

It comes down to how much brown nosing you did prior to the violation being discovered. We had to incidents almost identical. Both yellow poles, both drivers over on a phone call hours before.

One was stepped, the other outright released. Take two guesses what color the nose was of the guy who still has his job.

One question. Can you have a passenger? Wife or maybe son?
