From my own experiences and what I have heard from others, I am fairly sure that at least some CDL schools intentionally #### up regularly, so they can find and fail the trainees that dont have the patience to deal with real world ####ups.
If you can't stay calm and collected in the classroom, they dont want you behind the wheel of an 80k pound missile on the interstate. -
Sometimes I had the impression the entire school or training is a screwup. I once witnessed Covenant in Little Rock driving forward and back in a straight line on gravel about 50 feet or so taking turns for a hour until it got hot and everyone went eh... started talking next to it in the shade.
In my time we had a acre or so and were doing rodeos so to speak as competition late in course work to see which of us could beat the instructors best time at a variety of things. Our favorite was barrel racing, but that trailer had a habit of getting away rather easy so we didnt do it too much.
I would think the owners would take a dim view of their rigs being whipped around barrels as fast as they can go.Upinsmoke and Farmerbob1 Thank this. -

Why would anybody intentionally go for manual, wouldn't that limit your ability to get a job? I guess I just don't get it, myself, but I would think if a guy is going to pay an out fit to learn to drive, he would want to learn to drive.
