I use to work exclusively for Crete (pulling a dry van, but once or twice a year pull a reefer), but I drove more blue trucks than red, even before they put the new decals with both names on the side...I use to refer to drivers with mixed colored equipment as Creaffers.

I think that the red and blue trucks are just a matter of keeping some separation between Crete and Shaffer on paper, for taxes, payroll, whatever.
For instance, there are different driver managers for Crete and Shaffer. If we were to get some corporate Crete bean counter in here to answer questions, we'd probably get an answer about tax write-offs, expenses, and maintaining a measurable difference between equipment leased for either side of the compamy.born&raisedintheusa Thanks this. -
