I’m reminded of my favorite Hill Street Blues episode. Belcher brought a prisoner in on a misdemeanor so he could question him about a murder.

The desk sergeant asks “what’s the charge?”. Belcher replies “Manipulated driver’s license.”, at which point the prisoner jumps to his feet and exclaims:
