Wouldn’t recommend them. I went to work for them as a new driver.
I just received my CDL and the recruiter told me the right bs to get me in the door. Then the fun started. I went out with the trainer and on the second day of training when the Qualcomm said his hours were up he reaches down and logs me in as the active driver and he continues to drive for another 8 hours. That night he says we are behind and we need to get up in 3 hours. He was able to do this since when he switched me to active driver he had placed himself in the sleeper.
This goes on for the entire three week trip. In those three weeks I was “allowed” to drive about 8 times for 4 hours each time.
I tried to talk to the trainer and he told me “to just go with it for a couple more weeks and Then I’d have my own truck making $70k a year.” Knowing I was only going to get $0.30 a mile I knew then I needed to talk to someone else.
I went to safety and the first words out of their mouths is “I guess you just can’t handle being a trucker” and that is when I quit. I just won’t falsify records so a company can get their experienced drivers more miles.
The funny thing is I sent a thank you letter to there VP and his response was “As an 83-year-old company with over 130 half million miler's and above we are proud of our drivers and the job they do for us.” if your drivers are breaking the law to get that million miles that takes away any respect I’d give them for their accomplishments.
Thanks for reading my rant.

Welcome to trucking.
Don't believe the bull about safety that
Most of them tell you.
They do whatever they have to do to stay
In business and compete with the mega's.
That's just the way it is.snowlauncher, x1Heavy, bzinger and 1 other person Thank this. -
Once you’ve been around the block once or twice, you’ll soon realize these companies only care about safety when it doesn’t interfere with the load getting there on time.
All that safety jibber jabber is just there so they can blame you when something goes wrong; “See DOT? Here’s our safety policy and the driver’s signature acknowledging they were briefed”.
That’s exactly why that trainer you were with is going to find out the hard way one of these days just how “appreciated” he is (not). They’ll throw him under the bus in a nano second. LolAndersonBikeIt, mjd4277, Omega1 and 14 others Thank this. -

Students are easy to take advantage of because they don't know anything. When up against a situation of say someone falsifying your logs. You sit there and do nothing. Worse you become a accessory. Quitting is a good thing. Don't do it too often.
Anyway. Don't do it anymore. The lawbreaking that is.bzinger Thanks this. -
