The receiver should check the temps when you arrive and count the product. If those are in order, you have done your job.
If there is a problem with the size of the chicken or the way it was processed, that's between the shipper and receiver. You have no control over that.MercuryLine and Bakerman Thank this. -
That simply means that they did not do a full inspection of every case. It is possible they might try to be skeevy and come back at you later with a claim, but at the same time, they need to protect themselves from the shipper selling product that was allowed to go bad before being shipped.
From our point of view it's bothersome, even worrisome, but from their point of view it's risk management.jbatmick and MercuryLine Thank this. -
They can stamp away all they wish. It is a meaningless move. Any exception on a bill of lading must be quite specific or the claim can be easily denied.
Just like the "subject to inspection" ones. -
You have up to 9 months to file a claim, hidden damage or not.

From what little I know some Walmart will do it, which allowed you to get out faster, they will just do it because of the amount of pallets you have, know if they count it later and it is short, you cannot be responsible if the load was sealed, that’s not about damage, if they don’t see any damage pallets you don’t have nothing to worry about, if they count it later they will go after the shipper as long as the seal is good,

Hauling that chicken is a pain ,especially taking it from one plant to another. Like George's was selling to Pilgrims Pride . It never failed , 2 out of 3 loads QA would find something wrong . Then they would put the product back on you and you pull over to the trailer lot and wait till morning for them to negotiate a cheaper price on it then they would unload you. Chicken is heavy , pays cheap and not worth your time.

The universal answer to everything, that. Everything except red & blues in the mirror, dead tractor, dead reefer and needing to take a ####, that isFarmerbob1 Thanks this.
