I am sure that there are those who will disagree with me on this, but I blame the police for the innocent who were killed. The police acted as if they were a military unit fighting out in a jungle. This happened on a crowded roadway. Had the police backed off, the capture and arrest of the robbers could have been accomplished later and at a more remote place. I will guarantee that when the truth is known that the bullet that killed the UPS driver came from a police weapon. Was the life of this driver worth catching the robbers at this very moment??

    Just a terrible situation.

Such a fantastic opportunity for him and his family, and some garbage human being comes along and takes everything from them.

I understand what you're saying, but in a very real sense, the felons did kill the driver. They created the situation that led to his death. I don't think the cops could just let them get away and then try to catch them later. Others may view that differently, but to me, they're like mad dogs that need to be put down. You can't just shrug and say, Oh, we'll deal with that later when there aren't so many people around. I think that has to be balanced by what could have happened if they hadn't stopped the two ######## there and then. They could have killed a lot more people with a traffic accident and/or shooting and/or another carjacking. At least the police killed them and put an end to it.

It's always easy to say the cops shouldn't have hit bystanders, but I have watched a lot of police shooting videos, and most of the bullets shot during those encounters do not hit the target. If it turns out the bystanders were hit by police rounds, that will be a tough pill to swallow for their loved ones. I know I would have a hard time with it.

It's a bad situation that was entirely initiated by the two perps who decided to rob someone that day, and then decided to carjack a UPS van when it didn't go as planned. It's all on them. I can't blame the cops for stopping it.

This is a tragic event but please don't be a Monday morning quarterback.

My prayers go out to the driver's family. I also thank GOD that those two are not breathing my air anymore. I also believe in the death penalty and one appeal. No murderer should be eating any food on planet Earth after 3 years of being found guilty. STOP making prison a lifestyle and move civilization forward.

    One more thing.....

Let's bring back revolvers! If you cannot hit a target in 6 shots then maybe you should not pull the trigger.

I think they had more than enough firearms at that shootout and the end result was tragic(over 200 rounds were fired).

Why did you feel the need to respond here at all, @x1Heavy ? You've already displayed multiple times on the other thread about this same topic that you have no regard for the guy that died. You basically said it was good that the guy died.

Are you that desperate for attention??????

Man who was taken hostage, killed was on this first day on the job as a UPS driver

    Yeah,,, funny that.

Luckily the forensics department is run by the same people who were taking cover behind civilian vehicles.

    Disgusting.
