The message below was just sent out in search of a lawyer to help my fight this! All of the attached files are emails from not only myself but my Co-Driver/boyfriend trying to vouch for! I guess at this point point I'm just looking for any advice people might have for me! As this mess is a huge mark against my CDL! I fear won't find another driving job! CRST won't release my schooling info until the money is paid back to them! If anyone can help me please do! I have no idea what to do! Thank you!
I need help fighting a contract that was broken by my employer! I recieved a letter stating that the entire balance is now due by Jan 5 2020! CRST is holding me responsible for breaking this contract when I have not! I was involved in a minor traffic accident in my assigned company truck! No one bothered to give me a chance to explain what happened! I was terminated on the spot for not reporting the accident when it occured! If CRST was willing to let me explain anything to them they would learn that I did not have all the correct information, I was never given their 24 hour accident report number! My manager was out of her office for the night so my intentions were to report the accident to her first thing the following morning! Had I been given the chance to do so! I have tried emailing them, my Co-Driver has tried emailing and calling them to vouch for me about having simple lack of correct information that was not provided to me by the company to be able to execute my job properly! Thank you for your time

So let me get this strait..
You didn't look up how bad a company CRST really is before signing a $7,000 (or however much it costs now) contract? You didn't report a wreck to the company. They fired you for not reporting the wreck and now they want their money you agreed to pay.
I'm not seeing what there is to sue about. You can bleet all you want about "I was going to". Simple fact is with all their 24 hour numbers for breakdown, dispatch, or yes terminal everyone will see you as trying to hide the wreck.
Get a loan from the bank, pay off your contract and move on with life.BackwoodsGA, Upinsmoke, snowlauncher and 3 others Thank this. -
Upinsmoke and FlaSwampRat Thank this.

So basically you were actually fired for being unable to do a drug test...you had a “shy bladder”

Get your contract in order on a payment plan, normally as long you show your making attempts will look a lot better in court, I don't know who would take you on given circumstances but might try one the other mega carriers any location you made statements to hire you back or you would involve lawyers, keep in mind they have there own lawyers and deep pockets, you tried to cover an accident and failed a dot test lack of a sample. If that is held up your license can be suspended keep this in mind. Any person or persons who make threats via using the L word they get very defensive and any futre communication goes to there lawyers then that's how most business work who are smart.
I advise you make payment's the court will make you pay something you have a lot against you I am no lawyer but the info you provided is a bad defense if you make payments and say have no job and fail worse thing I see is interestUpinsmoke Thanks this. -
That's if either one of the stories are true....Upinsmoke, BigDog Trucker and Concorde Thank this. -
I had looked at CRST while I was having my issues with swift; but decided to look elsewhere when I learned that they hire for team driving only. Looks like I dodged a bullet there.
Also, if you run into the situation where you can't provide a urine sample right away; your allowed to wait in the waiting room until you can provide a sample. However, do *not* leave the waiting room not even for a smoke or it will be considered as a refusal. I've had to do this on my last DOT drug test and it was fine.Last edited: Dec 14, 2019
