I'm going to apply for my Pennsylvania EZPass but they asked whether you want a Bumper Mount or an interior mount.
All of the trucks I ever drove had a velcro strip inside of them that had the EZ Pass on it.
Is that still how they mount? Is there an advantage to a bumper mount?

Stick with the interior windshield mount. It will still be there in the morning unlike the bumper mount version

Do you only go to the N/E? If not, many companies are going to Bestpass instead, which uses a Prepass/E-Z pass transponder and a 2nd smaller transponder that works with other toll roads. Their info says Bestpass covers all toll roads and all Prepass scales.
Dino soar Thanks this. -
I have a windshield mount and my dad has a bumper mount, both work fine. Lately, I've been seeing companies mounting the bumper ones up in the roof wings on their trucks. Maybe they've had too many get stolen?

I am looking to stay in the Northeast.
Now I have been investigating getting EZ passes in different states.
Pennsylvania is one of the few States that if a resident buys their EZ Pass they only get the same discount as anyone from any other state with an E-ZPass.
I have to check on commercial vehicles, but if you purchase an EZ Pass from the state of New Jersey, you get a discount on New Jersey Bridges apparently that you would not get if you had a Pennsylvania EZ Pass.
Yet you get the same discount as a Pennsylvania EZ Pass in Pa.
I will be looking further into this. -
We Use Bestpass. The toll transponder is from MD. They will go over months worth of tolls to determine the best state to get the transponder from.

Does anyone know if New Jersey E-ZPass offers commercial trucks a discount for the turnpike or the bridges beyond what any EZ Pass from another state would give?
The information on their website is very confusing, they offer a whole bunch of different plans, and of course they have no phone number to contact them. -
Interior IMO.

Get the regular EZPass that works in all states. Better yet, get BestPass and it will cover almost all toll roads in the US. BestPass also comes with PrePass for bypassing most weigh stations.roshea, Midwest Trucker and Dino soar Thank this.
