Just because someone was a great driver for years doesn’t mean they’re qualified to be a driver manager. Some of these people have no business dealing with another human being and don’t have the capacity to think for themselves beyond quoting policy, however counterproductive it may be to a given situation or even the company itself. I couldn’t imagine staying here for years like some of these guys, or hiring on to them with years of experience already under the belt. The pay scale just isn’t enough to justify that, nor worth the hassle of arguing with a mental midget. Just 2 cents worth of pros/cons from a mildly disgruntled rookie before he moves on to greener pastures.

I had waltz f. as a dispatcher there he said he had 30 years experience as a driver . He called me one time asking me to tell the lumpers to have me unloaded in a hour , I asked if he was joking . He was not , by far the dumbest dispatcher I have ever had .

Any company that has done these people need really consider the worst-case with trucking company should they close fast is drivers stuck on the side the road and no way home. we had big companies including Celadon close just recently I had talked to Freymiller but any time I 2nd guess the company I avoid them to avoid getting burnt by them through bad practices some past trucking companies have done to me if you don't learn or educate self you leave yourself to repeat past mistakes.

Freymiller just returning to their roots. What the op is seeing now is just a loop. Grow, turn to garbage, file bankruptcy. Wash, rinse, repeat.
