I wonder also if those are the last trucks we actually own. Daseke leasing owns all the new kw’s. Sell the Volvos while they still have higher value, add that money to the bottom line, get everyone on the new leased kw’s that they will eventually be in anyway.

Not sure if we actually own any power units anymore. I think when they switched all the trucks to the Indiana base plate, it was switched to Daseke Leasing Services....at least that is who is shown as the Registrant on my cab card, not sure if that means they own it or not.kylefitzy Thanks this.

Not too shabby of a day, especially since I traveled the distance from Rancho to the AZ line in Commiefornia.

But your thread is going to be so much fun when you do move

i see companies who run Indiana base plates as too cheap to register their equipment in the state they’re based in. If we’re required to register our vehicles in the state we’re residents of, why aren’t they?

Because corporations can do many things that we can’t.Warrior Pump, Gearjammin' Penguin, cdavis188 and 3 others Thank this.

They only need an address. It’s been a loophole, for years. It’s the same that applies to foreigners running companies from abroad; they only need an address in the USA.hope not dumb twucker, cdavis188, ElmerFudpucker and 1 other person Thank this.

Indiana base plates make things so much easier on the company and driver. We used to have wa plates that needed to get new tabs/stickers every single year. We also had to get a new cab card, but you couldn’t just print it off. It came with the tabs and had to be the original from the state.
with Indiana there are no tabs, just an emailed cab card that I print off in the truck. Easy as pie.
when you have 200 trucks and 4-500 trailers even a savings of $20 per plate is huge. When the entire Daseke Corp switched to Indiana plates that’s 5000+ pieces of equipment.Gearjammin' Penguin, Lonesome, Winnyf1 and 4 others Thank this. -
Crete and Werner are based in Nebraska, and they run Nebraska plates on their equipment. Prime runs Missouri plates and they’re based in Missouri

The company that owns our trucks and trailers is based out of the lonestar warehouse in Indiana.brian991219 Thanks this.
