How long does it take to hear back from somebody about your application? My ex coworker just finish up onboarding at the Sealy DC and his whole process Took less than a month . I miss out on the sealy job posting so I applied to the Palestine one and it’s still listed , So that means they are not looking at submitted applications yet right ?
Some outfits will keep running an ad after the position(s) is/are filled to collect applications. That way the next time they have a vacancy they just send you a text or email inviting you to apply again so they don't have to pay for a second ad. I've seen that happen with R&L, Action Resources and a few others - see an ad, fill out the app, jump through a few hoops then get ghosted. A year later they contact you with an invite to their job fair...
Typically if the listing is still on drive4walmart, that dc is still hiring. I know the day i signed my transfer to the dc im at now, i checked the listing just because.. and it was gone.
You transferred to another DC? Question...I heard that if you transfer you basically start at the bottom of the barrel and lose your seniority. Is that true?
They've always been a bit weird about contacting you after your application. Even under the old system you could hear back within a week or six months later when you think they're not gonna call so you get another job and are settling into it when WM calls 'Hey, do you want to come in for an interview' like you just put your application in yesterday.
Very true lol. I was contacted after 7 weeks. Totally had forgotten about it and was pretty surprised when they called...like “oh yeah! I did apply to Walmart a while ago”
Ahhhh ok. Haven’t been to Sutherland yet...Mt. Crawford a couple months ago but I guess it’s pretty rare for the northeast guys to get down to VA...
