Well I got approval for WIOA. I start a 2-2 1/2 month Course. They will be teaching both manual and automatic transmission. I am gonna to ask loads of questions and learn all I can. I'm interested in reefer and dry van. It'll be starting in May and ending in July or beginning of August. I'm excited and scared but it's m to stubborn to give up on this. It's been a dream and goal for a long long time.
Approved for WIOA

You’ll do great. Good luck little piglet.
Oxbow, flood, UnderdogVigilante and 2 others Thank this. -
You should still get hazmat endorsement because dry van & reefer haul hazmat loads also. They don't haul the real hot stuff though; dry van & reefers haul freight such as paint or batteries or fingernail polish, etc.
~
The best paying dry van companies require all the endorsements. By better paying, I mean $100G - $150G per year.
Estes Express
Old Dominion Freight Line

Even food service companies pay $100G and more per year. They do some backhauls that require hazmat endorsement, such as listed above, paint, batteries, etc. I know this because I've done foodservice for a few years.nextgentrucker, UnderdogVigilante, tscottme and 4 others Thank this. -

Anyway, you should get your endorsements as soon as possible. The doubles/triples and tanker tests are easy and you only have to pass them once. Good to have even if you never need them. Hazmat is a little harder and you have to do the whole thing every 5 years but still can open some opportunities.
Even with pulling a box if you get a shipment of loaded totes, you will need the tanker endorsement.nextgentrucker, lual, UnderdogVigilante and 4 others Thank this. -

Always better have & not need, than to need & not have. Especially when just simple tests & minimal fees.
@Chinatown & @kemosabi49 explained it all perfectlylual, UnderdogVigilante, austinmike and 2 others Thank this. -
