Jim Palmer pays on your Comdata fuel card. You can move that money to your bank account by phone call to Comdata, probably also by Web or App. Check Comdata on web. Every truckstop has ATMS & you can write Comchecks to get cash. To pay bills I suggest you see if your bank has bill pay website or phone app. You can also get a prepaid Credit Card at Walmart. I haven't been in my bank for years. I pay my bills online or phone app.

CAT scale had an App. You sit on scale, type in scale I'D number, and scale fee is charged to the credit card you link to your account. CAT the sends image of your scale ticket to up to 3 email addresses (you, company, extra). You never have to go inside.

It can also be set up to work with Comdata, but our company isn't set up to do that yet. I'm pushing for it as a time saver, since we wouldn't have to find a place to park just to walk inside and get the ticket. Also, less paperwork than to be reimbursed for the ticket.

My bank waives all fees if you have more than $100 in your account. You should be able to get an account with no fees. I believe you can join Navy Federal Credit Union for $25. You can do everything online. There is no reason to be stuck with some cappy, expensive, poor service local bank. Search the web. Clark Howard, Consumer Reports, and others can help you. Some banks & credit unions will refund any ATM fees you are charged. on the road try to pay for everything with a credit card, and then pay that bill from your bank account. If you pay it off EVERY month you are living 1 month on someone else's money.blairandgretchen Thanks this.

I got caught up in that target mess had a fraudulent charge on my card my bank put the money back in my account in less than 48hrs ,I had a new card in 7days.
If your laptop crashes or is stolen you can still bank from your phone. -

A bank is the worst place for an IRA Account. Vanguard & Fidelity offer more choices including many that charge no fee. Each has thousands of funds you can invest in. I recommend you stick to S&P 500 Index Fund, Total Stock Market Index Fund. They have virtually no fees, don't buy & sell frequently, no-brainer.Bob Dobalina and blairandgretchen Thank this.

Credit unions have the co-op network, about 30,000 ATM's and lobbies you can use if your CU is part of it. You walk in and they treat you like a member even if you've never been there. I've used them all over the US.
Try a location here to test it out...http://co-opcreditunions.org/locator/?ref=allco-op.org
Never use debit except at a known-safe ATM. Credit card losses are somewhat covered, getting your cash back can take time and meanwhile you don't have it. -

My credit/debit card got hacked and they stole $992 bucks plus a foreign transacton fee of $9.92 for a safari I never ordered or heard of. Got ahold of my bank, they mailed dispute forms to me, gave me 10 days to send them back. I didn't get home for 2 weeks, they made me eat the loss.
blairandgretchen Thanks this.
