Anyone with opinions on Bowerman?
Yes the pay rate is a flat salary which for me with 1 year experience seems OK.
I'm more interested in time off and health insurance at this point in my life.
CSA score is good at 12%

Have you asked the company to have a company driver call you? That's how I would get the info.
-
Post what you find out about the health insurance. Website doesn't give details, unless I missed it.

They’re 45 miles from me, I see them a lot. Their shop also had public wash bay and shop. lot. LOT better equipment since the moved to Searcy from judsonia.

One opinion don't mean much to me. Also someone calling on behalf of company would sound too much like a recruiter.
Multiple individuals giving feed back would be best. -
The promotional info a recruiter sent shows a PPO $500 deductible plan costing $100 per week or a 2500 deductible costing $25 per week. No details if that has an HSA option. Will update as I m learn more.Chinatown Thanks this.

You'd be surprised. One company I was contemplating offered to have some drivers call and talk to me.
I got 3 phone calls.
Long story short, I didn't take the job. -
They have nice equipment. They've got good running lanes too, midwest and south running lanes. They have this monster lot for their shop and truck wash. I actually went there to get a truck wash once. It was a little more expensive than the Beacon, but that truck was one of the best I've ever been to. They paid real close attention to detail. Primarily, they wash Bowerman's trucks and trailers all day but they take outside business as well. I got to looking at at the trucks and I was actually impressed with how well-maintained they looked. If I were looking for a decent regional carrier, they'd be worth a look in my view. I wonder what the flat rate is though. I guess it makes sense because with their running lanes, I couldn't imagine them running more than 2300-2500 miles weekly.

Bowerman recruiter is telling me a guarantee of $235 per day if available for dispatch 5 or 6 days.
That is a bit low but realistically works out to better than I've averaged the past year.
So if they treat drivers OK it seems like a good deal. Great CSA score as linked in original post is a good sign. -
I live a couple of hours from them. I've never heard anything about them, good, bad, or otherwise. I'd think if they were too terrible, I'd have caught wind of it.
RollinChaos Thanks this.
