Don't like it? Get your own truck and do what you want,if I ever had someone driving MY truck you can bet there will be a camera in there, owner ops and small fleet owners just can't afford to take chances with some of these so called drivers these days.

Cameras don't really bother me anymore, I have worked in places where I am sure they watched us take a leak and could count how many times we shook it off. While I would rather they not be there, if they are, they are, I have nothing to hide, and if they are sitting there watching me like a hawk to find a reason to terminate me, they could probably find a hundred others ways if they waited long enough. I called around to those on the list in another thread, if you are offduty you can cover the driver facing cam, which is expected, but then again thinking about it, I should probably be presentable if I am in the drivers seat.

If a camera is facing a texting driver, when he wrecks, guess what the insurance company is gonna do. Hammer the company.
IF there's no camera on that driver when has a wreck, then company stands a chance of not getting hammered by the insurance company.

Not to mention the fact that companies are using these cams to take away drivers safety bonuses.
JBS took away my friends safety bonus because he wasn't wearing a seat belt going through a parking lot to his dock door. Someone walked out in front of him, he hit the breaks, and lost his bonus. Not because he was paying attention to anything that might walk in front of him. saving someone's health or life.

It's all about the money. Companies that do this are POS's. And drivers that work for them, IMO, need to grow a pair.

A driver facing camera will never help the driver out, EVER.
But the forward facing camera will

Or maybe the company fires his ### for texting while driving BEFORE he has a wreck and kills someone???

Was he aware of the companies policies regarding the wearing of seat belts???

Guess he should have been wearing it.

Maybe he learned to wear it next time.

"It's all about the money" ... well duh

And, again, thanks for your judgement of others.
You don't want to have a camera in your face, fine... that's ok with us... if we don't mind, why attack???

But again, thanks for your opinion.
