I bet the news would be all over it how the publics lack of toilet paper is because truckers are demanding double the freight rate, which in all honesty if this whole virus is as bad as their making it out to be , they should be.

But we are in a crisis. A national emergency, no different than a hurricane.

Your comparison is not taking into effect the crisis.

In my eyes, truckers are heroes on the front lines trying to bring some normalcy into the public's life. They deserve to be paid fair.

Here's the reality. If driver A is saying he'll only take it for double. There is driver B-Z that will take it for a reasonable rate. This isn't a gas station where you have no choice..etc. Broker's gonna say nope, shipper's gonna say nope, and the next driver is gonna get the load. So it's the same situation on BOTH sides. Rates can only be as low as drivers are willing to take, and as high as brokers/shippers are willing to pay.

And I think the problem lies in the difference between Driver so and so hauling for 1000 dollars when Broker knows #### well its paying 1500 while the shipper snickers and says they could have shipped for 2000.

    650cat425 and MercuryLine Thank this.
