I'm new to this page, and im having issues with my peterbilt 379..
So last night after coming to a stop in somewhat of an uphill, after wanting to take off I let go off the clutch a little too rough and heard some cluncking sound, I stopped reset and took off with no issue the second time, but as I started down the highway I could hear and feel the cluncking sound coming from somewhere, feels like it slips has anyone had this issue before.

    Is it your truck?

    Get it fixed immediately!

If it is a company truck, it needs to get into a shop like yesterday.

    Something moved in there!

Tightening up the drive line was only 1/2 of the problem and that hard launch found the next weakest point.

Don't feel too bad; it was gonna go sometime soon.

I had the same thing happen on my 379. It was a loud popping type noise. The power divider (I think that's what they called it) went out.

Edit: And, when I say mine, I mean my assigned truck. I didn't own it.

Park it, call company, show them pictures. They still might go after you, $13k repair, maybe. I had a drive shaft bust on me years ago, 50 below 0, frozen, gased on it, everything broke. Got 3 days off for that, ha ha ha.
