No real indication that that is a 'protest' - just looks like a traffic backup to me. There's supposed to be a slow roll to the courthouse going on today. 4 million petition signatures and a bunch of social media comments is all I see.
great video.... only problem is it's NOT from Colorado....!! It's from Wyoming when they closed I-80 because of WIND
I was actually thinking it was because Donner was closed, but close enough, Just seeing trucks sitting in the winter is normal, it's not a protest. The only protest I've seen is the Colorado capitol, and 8 people showed up.... Protesters oppose driver's 110 year sentence for I-70 crash | 9news.com
But still proves you will believe anything without looking into it..... Doesn't bode well for your other "source"
Fake shutdowns happen occasionally. A few truckers get together and decide to shut down the whole country because they're PO'd about something. It never works out. Kinda like the ones in the TV lounge talking loudly so everyone can hear them. "I'm a millionaire and only drive trucks because I got bored."
Unfortunately, this sad little excuse for a truck driver has become the latest cause for THE MOB. Accounts on social media demanding action that compare the crime and punishment to other truck accidents in different jurisdictions with different circumstances? Check. Online petitions? Check. Celebrities championing the cause, including noted truck safety expert Kim Kardashian? Check. Baseless speculation that the verdict is somehow racist because a white truck driver who did the same thing would have been let off with a citation for an illegal lane change? Check. Lots of reports online about a truck driver strike in Colorado. Funny thing, there's never any actual details or examples of load boards offering $7/mile for loads going into Colorado but finding no takers. Just who are these drivers? Company drivers who are fine with being away from for weeks at a time, low pay, a camera in their face and idle restrictions but they'll quit their jobs over an obscure verdict from one of the thousands of truck accidents every year? Owner ops who will park their trucks instead of taking loads to offset their insurance, fuel and other expenses that pile up even when they're not running? Nah, the truth is the driver strike is a leftist fantasy designed to both make it appear that support for their cause is more widespread than it actually is and to maybe actually get some truckers to believe that the strike is a thing and start a driver strike. There was a time before participation trophies, social media and empowerment when people had better things to do. Today, everyone has an opinion, must be heard and little details like knowing something about what they're talking about are no longer considered important.
