Crete Carrier - A Year In Review - Fall 2013 Going Forward

Well guys.... I'm just waiting on the drug test results. Then will head in to North Platte.

Couldn't believe what a hassle getting the drug test done. Crete had me do it at home. Found a place. Tell them I've been in Seattle in the last 7 days. They look at me like I'm a Vampire. Ended up at another related to same. They usually don't do drug tests. But they allow Vampires who've been in Seattle, there.
Hoping getting the test done, won't be a problem. I do have another test from a month ago. Wonder if Crete would accept that? Should call Safety and see.

Really looking forward to getting back. North Platte is great.

Can't believe all the job offers I have. Ridiculous.
Been running for a local guy. Just to pay for the work he had done on his truck for me. A temporary job. Crete knew and waited for me. This guy really wants me now. I did a tough run from Dallas, to Denver. Last Thursday night. Most all roads in Co. were closed. Found first one into Lyman. Then sat. Made delivery 4 hours late. Customer so happy with me. Broker told my owner/company that he could have any of those runs anytime he wants. The run pays really good too. hehe I really pushed it. He wants me to stay...badly.

Even had local oil company offer me a gas hauling job. Doesn't pay enough. Going into Wyoming all the time. Look at the pictures of that wreck in Wyoming. No way. Wyoming is bad.

I'm very happy going back to North Platte Crete. Just waiting for now on results.

Old is right...I don't remember him looking or sounding that old. Of course the same can be said about me...so, me saying that is the pot calling the kettle black.

My work slowed down but I don’t mind.

And today....

 

Still average around 3,200 miles a week
.. but doing a lot of odd loads...like FedEx

 

My account loads have slowed way down. So I am picking up scrub loads for poor miles. 2800 miles last week, and due to some really terrible timing and slow live docking, I am looking at around 2600 miles this week.

I can make the truck payments and pay the bills on that, but I won't get ahead.
