I’ve noticed these brokers always post cheap heavy loads(44k) on load boards for very low rates. , does anybody even haul for them? Maggellan Coyote go (ups ) RXO (xpo) Suntecktts England logistics
Backhauls, mostly, and any company advertising at a truck stop, knows that. I did that years ago, when loads were written in chalk on a black board. You always got an advance, as many times, that's all you'd see. It paid for the fuel to get back home. Caution is advised,,,,
Use to get a $75 check for fuel to run Kenova, WV to Middletown, OH and back. Now $75 won’t change the fuel level in the tank lol…..
I came along when they had the little CRT TV sets in the drivers lounge posting loads . . . You old fellas
Well it was Dial A Truck after all! It is tool that can be used like any other tool....for good or for bad. DAT allowed me to become visbile to 45k brokers. I never looked at a load board and I have never run for those listed up there ^^
Some brokers just pay less money and are fine if a load sits. Sometimes you’d be surprised though. I did an RXO for $6k Los Angeles to Dallas once on a Friday afternoon that was hot. The other day I did a Sunteck load that was cheap but I needed to go where it went.
I wouldn’t call DAT a scam. It’s made 1,000’s of companies money by utilizing its service. Rates just suck and especially those bottom feeders you posted.
Yep, you gotta remember that load boards are spot market and that's where the crap will land. Gotta sift through it. Naturally the better brokers and loads are going to get covered by people who know people. That's how business works. You forgot the two worst ones though, Megacorp and TQL.
That ain't the load board being a scam that's the brokers. The load board doesn't regulate what's posted
