Now, ask about your PSP score.

Too many violations can affect your ability to move on to another motor carrier as the next carrier may think you're too much of a risk for getting violations at their company so they may pass on you application.

I just checked, and the turn signal violations were on there (for each light that did not work).
. But it doesn’t give me a score. The tailgate violation is not currently on there.
Edit: Thanks for the correction. PSP records are often incorrectly referred to as driver CSA scores.Last edited: Apr 2, 2022

There is also no such thing as a PSP score. The PSP does list all violations in a CVSA inspection report, but there is no score attached.
See an example PSP report...

Exactly how bad is it relative to violations that show up on an MVR (speeding, etc.)?
truckdriver31 Thanks this. -
It depends on the violation. Texting while driving is more serious than overweight on axle. The violations you've listed won't make a difference to a potential employer. Years of experience, serious tickets (speeding), accidents, criminal history and incidents will.truckdriver31 Thanks this.

Plus its x3 first year, then x2 second year, then x1 3rd year. So if you get a 10 csa point ticket. Then it weighs 30 points the first year

That’s what I was optimistically telling myself, it’s simply one of those things that happens (a ‘live & learn’ moment).truckdriver31 Thanks this.
