I am wanting to know what drivers make pulling reefer per paycheck.
Is it weekly or biweekly pay?
    How many miles a week?
I am looking around at feedback from drivers to make a choice.

It depends on the company and the driver. I can gross 1300-1500 weekly. Some weeks will be more, some will be less. Pulling reefers means one thing: steady money.

    Who be you‽
My wife and I are looking at team driving. 2-3k a week per person is really good. What's the catch? If none. When do we start:D

Don't forget percentage work. Some get as much as dirty tree and a turd.

I am a company reefer driver on percentage based pay. "Miles" are irrelevant for me, but I have been constantly averaging 2200 to 3000 miles per week.

My checks are all over the place depending on when I deliver a load and where I run.

In 8 months, I have had three weekly checks just over $4000 gross. Some are only $900 to $1500 gross if I have a short week. I average just over $2000 per week gross all things considered and I am on track this year to make over $100k this year.

I am generally out 9 to 13 days and home for 3 to 4.

The way I am currently paid is: load pay rate minus all fuel (including reefer and def), then multiply what's left by 35% (.35). We receive all rate con sheets from shipper and broker so everyone is on the same page.

Even on a crappy backhaul from NJ to MN that only pays $2000 to $2500, we still almost always average well over 65 cents a mile as company drivers. And those are the typically the worst paying loads we do. Our outbound freight and dedicated customers is where we make our money.

We pretty much run everywhere east of the I-15 corridor. We occasionally go to Cali and the Pacific NW, but not often. We do the Northeast and NY Burroughs often enough. Too make the big bucks you have to do loads that other drivers and companies typically don't want to touch. Instead of lousy $75 to $150 incentive for running into the Burroughs, you would get paid for what you're worth here.

Loose_leaf it sounds like you have a killer position. A company is offering me .40cpm for awhile then about .60 for team.

We have been out of trucking for awhile so maybe we'll have to take it but I hate to be under paid by so much.

This job sorta fell right into my lap last fall.

We only have 12 trucks. Being out of trucking for awhile wouldn't be an issue here as long as you have experience in the past. He likes to have drivers with at least 2 years experience, ideally 5 but it doesn't have to be recent.

I'm not gonna lie, it's still trucking, it's still reefer BS and dealing with the same garbage every one else does. It is running hard at times and deprived of sleep. Sometimes I am ready to quit every two weeks.

There is very little micromanaging here and for the most part we are left alone if we simply do our jobs.

Very easy guy to work with, He just started out himself on his own less than 3 years ago after being leased onto someone else.

I will never do this for less than 55 cents a mile ever again. And every year I think that figure will go up 5 cents. I'm done chasing the carrot every week for "miles."

If more experienced drivers would stand up instead of just taking the shaft, pay would improve across the board.
