The way I see it, dunnage is part of a shippers load. It comes off at receiver as part of the load.

Unless I’m paid and reimbursed to acquire it, I don’t take the load.

I provide securement and conveyance, not lumber and carpentry.

Lumber prices thd way they are now, I hope more drivers would adopt my stance.

I think of it as extra charge just like tarps. I paid 14 dollars a board for them. Already made a profit on them, just like tarps!

Yep amen I love when a receiver acts like all 9 pieces of 8 foot dunage are just going to leave with me, then I start tossing the #### off. Oh no homeboy it's part of the load yours to keep

Charge a disposal fee. Just like tires and oil.
    Only take cash.

I can't believe how many flatbedders show up to get loaded and have no dunnage. Or how many LTL vans show up without a freaking pallet jack.

    Screw carrying dunnage.

You know the only times I need it are with steel and lumber. Steel doesn't pay well enough for me to worry about it and lumber only currently does.
