I have always been hesitant about taking the hazmat test. The guides are daunting and the question and answer videos don't give you any real context.

Plus the difficulty of finding time to study.

All that changed 3 days ago.

I found this guy on you tube.

After I listened to this video a couple of times I went to this one to take the practice test.

In three days I feel ready to take the exam and I did it while driving.

I will be taking the exam for real in a couple of weeks.

    Good luck!

Or you can follow this technique. The second biggest flight school teaches pilots how to pass their computer tests using this technique. I learned this technique while I worked for that school. You don't have to learn everything about HazMat, or any other endorsement, to pass your computer test. All you have to do is recognize which of the for possible answers you have seen before. You can spend as much, or as little time, each day "studying". I recommend you never spend more than 20 minutes at each session without a break. When I renew my HazMat endorsement I alwasy use the free web site TruckerCountry.com. I have not found any website with as many versions of each endorsement test as they have.

I print off the section of Texas DOT’s CDL Haz mat section every four years when I have to renew it. It’s 27 pages and the test is taken verbatim from the study guide. Read it and memorize it….the test results come easily.

Another tip. Get your Hazmat Before your TWIC. You get a reduced rate on the TWIC because it is the same background check.
