I don’t currently run a large bumper, but I have in the past. You do have to be careful in certain places not to damage a large bumper without a lift.

This thread has caused me to think about why myself and other owner operators may choose to personalize our rigs. I see it as very similar to just about anything in life, some of us like certain things and others don’t. I specifically buy things that I may have seen on a rig I like the look of. Occasionally I see something I have not seen yet on someones rig and I buy it. I am only concerned with whether I like it or not, not the other guy. If I like it and want to spend the money I buy it. I don’t sacrifice on other more important things like maxing out retirement savings for over 30 years, living debt free since 2002 or spending money on family if I buy the unnecessary items for my rig. I buy the unnecessary items because it is my money, my choice.
As far as Chicken Lights go I could take them or leave them. LOL![]()

Really is no different than a $100,000 custom bike you can't ride far or comfortably or a rebuilt classic car that the owner spent more money on than he's gonna get out of it.
You do it for passion and because no one else, or not many, have one like it.
To look cool on the stool.
My guess is they don't have to meet a monthly nut on the rig either.Vampire, Coolbreezin, Feedman and 3 others Thank this. -

Turns out the LS driver came out after he’d pulled up to go get fuel receipt, caught on ground keying his sleeper on his 389.
Law enforcement came, arrested guy on ground, LS driver filed against him,
The driver that keyed his truck was taken to jail, and the custom painted sleeper had to be taken off truck and completely repainted, and the driver who keyed it, had to pay.Sons Hero, Feedman, Hammer166 and 1 other person Thank this.
