You are such a bootlicker. Everytime someone gives even a mild criticism of the company, you immediately come to this thread to reply.
The Def policy adds an additional layer of driver unfriendly fuel policies, to an already driver unfriendly fuel policy with your fuel solutions of only 60 gallons at an time (or whatever it is) and not being able to fuel where you want.
The poster you replied to was clearly worried about deeper issues with the company, he obviously realizes the new FCC policy saves them money. Your holier than thou response to him wasn't necessary. Stop being a boomer.
I gotta ask man, how in the world do you, as someone in a non-managerial role, know so much about many of the specific contract details that FCC has with their customers?
I saw one post in here about another driver getting into a wreck or something, and you mentioned how you were in the safety guys office or the CEO's office or something like that when it happened. What are the odds of that, unless you're around management all the time anyways?
There's been plenty of other times where you mention very specific things about the company, where normal owner operators would never know about unless they were super close with management.
You can't convince me FCC doesn't give you special treatment since you created this thread and basically monitor this thread like an admin.
After seeing another long time forum member and well respected driver get fired recently (at least in part) over some petty crap because FCC was reading his comments on this thread, if I were all of you I would tread very carefully about what you say around Runningman, both in person and on this forum.

Or maybe it’s because I stay up to date on industry news, ask great questions and have run a profitable buisness for years.
Oh the long time forum member that actually quit and has had six different jobs since he left FCC? Maybe he was the problem, or maybe it’s all the companies he went to and left and not him, who knows.
Just so you know, I could give two shatz what you think about me.Last edited: Feb 13, 2025

I was doing a 34 at CB last week and my DM told me to fill up with DEF at the terminal…and i was like well no #### sherlock, I’m definitely not going to leave the yard with less than half a tank of DEF, then i learned about the new policy.
I just don’t want to be stuck on the side of the road because i can’t get by a terminal and have to play 5 gallon hopscotch before i eventually run out.
that 1 gallon = 168 miles is also total bs. If that was the case, i’d be able to easily run out to either coast and back without filling up, which i can’t do. Like if i start with a full tank in Omaha and take 80/15 to LA and back, I’m running on fumes in the middle of BFE Wyoming on the return legSilverdriver, IH9300SBA, BeHereNow97 and 3 others Thank this. -
It may be the case in older Freightliners, but these 24 and 25 Freightliners consume a lot more DEF than in years past. And it’s just not my truck. I’ve personally driven two 25’s that are like that. The small outfit i park my cars and truck at sometimes got brand new 24’s awhile back and said the same thing. Their two 24’s burn a lot more DEF than the rest of their fleet. Only found that out when one of their drivers went from KS to GA back to KS but had to stop and fill up on the road

A guy like me with one truck an extra $10-20 a week isn’t worth the hassle of going to CB for DEF if I’m not stopping there anyway. But multiply that for each company truck and like I said in another post it’s easily a new truck or two per year. It’s just math.
If I were a company driver I’d start tracking DEF consumption for a few weeks to get a solid average so that you’re in the position to avoid problems on the road. In @cdavis188 example above 10-15 gallons would get him back to CB if that’s the direction he was going. And that’s something that could be communicated when a driver first leaves out. Hey, my truck averages …. on DEF so I’ll need to throw some on at least twice before I get back to the yard.Knucklehead, Silverdriver, IH9300SBA and 1 other person Thank this. -
So as to specify to people who may not know any better, any potential conflicts of interests from the source they are reading from? Kind of like how recruiters have to do, with being open and honest about their positions in a company?
Just saying, that policy of being open and honest about your positions in a company keeps the integrity on this forum high, and makes this forum what it is.Rugerfan Thanks this. -
