FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

Just to clarify, the Advisory Board is made up to represent all drivers. Both Company and O/O… to accomplish this both Company and O/O sit on this Board.

Personally, I’m pretty comfortable having RM represent us on the Board and know he is not just representing the O/O at FCC.

 

Dude, I think everyone here with the exception of maybe a few of the new drivers were well aware that RM for representing us on the Drivers Advisory Board… you did nothing here but show your ###.

Took my reset in Council Bluffs so I could get the truck in for service first thing this morning. After the service is done, I’m heading to North Platte to deliver a load of foam plates and bowls. Don’t know what I’m doing next. Unfortunately probably going to be fighting weather the next couple days no matter which way I go.

Be careful. I hopped on 80 at York and now i’m east of Lincoln and it’s gotten pretty slick. it’s only seeming to get worse the closer i get to Omaha. I’m convinced Nebraska doesn’t know what plow trucks and salt is. They consistently have some of the worst plowed roads in the midwest

 

Update: someone spun off the interstate directly in front of me near the Fremont/Wahoo exit and i almost joined them shortly after. And we were both only going 40-45 with multiple vehicles passing us faster. I don’t think i’m getting to CB and my truck anytime soon

I pulled off the highway to a gas station to take a breather and clean my pants

 

Called dispatch and told them I’m not moving from where I am until road conditions improve. I almost spun into the ditch even with reducing speed a lot and driving carefully.

If it doesn’t improve in a couple hours I might just take my ### back home and then wait for all this winter weather to blow through. It’s pretty sad that i’m not even to my truck yet and weather is forcing me to stop. Old man winter can #### off already

 

80 is now shutdown between the 420 and 426 due to a wreck

 

The problem is they rely too much on brine and salt. It’s 5 degrees out and the cold, fluffy snow wouldn’t even stick to the road if they didn’t slop brine down.
