Not too bad I suppose. They start us at $.40 CPM and max out at $.54. That is Montana pay. Counterparts in Seattle start at $.62 CPM and $35/hourly.

Nothing against FEDEX, but don't see the point in working for a contractor for .42 when you can do the same job at SAIA , Estes, ODFL etc as a company driver with benefits - 10+ cpm higher right out the gate. Team, that is.

Hmmm.. No explanation on what you found questionable on my post. FxF runs day cabs and all of the FxG trucks I see run sleeper. Fair to assume that one covers a regional area and the other returns back to their yard at the end of their shift. Oddly enough, I have friends that work for both, and they pretty much would tell you the same thing. I also know they make more than me and their trucks run faster than ODFL, ABF, MTS. NPT, and us.

As for your question... Not sure how familiar you are with laws that govern the transportation field, but we are prohibited from using any forms of illegal substances and get randomly drug tested. So the answer is no. I am not high.

Wrong! Fedex Ground does not have company line drivers...This is all contractor work, there are no company drivers except maybe during the holidays when they are busy some of their company men deliver packages in the little delivery trucks. Some Ground gigs are local, regional or OTR (hub to hub). It just depends on the contract the contractor has. This can be a good deal or a bad one. In 5 years I worked for two contractors. One paid well with crappy equipment. The other paid not so well but great equipment. Both jobs got me home every day and home on weekends.
