A breif background on our situation:
We recycle old plasctic, so we buy scrap plastic & either grind it up & sell it like that or , we make it in to little pellets like BBs & sell that. Since we buy & sell buy the pound, we have to continually weigh both empty & then full for each trailer we are using (We have many trailers but only one truck). Therefore I weigh twice for (almost) every load. I weigh a lot.
The other day, I stopped & weighed empty, went to the customer, loaded & came back to weigh again about 3 or 4 hours later. The lady asked; First weigh or reweigh? I said first weigh. When I gave my truck number, the lady said, didnt you weigh earlier? I said yes, she said well that's a reweigh. So, I took the reweigh for $2.
My understanding is, the right way & honest way to work the scales are, its a first weigh, adjust your axles if needed & get a reweigh after you have made your adjustments.
Sometimes I do pull the same trailer all day loading & unloading, so the scale tickets, in that scenario, the information is all the same. I could actually weigh empty & full all day long several times on a reweigh. However, I dont think thats the way its intended to work.
Yes or no?
If I weigh this morning at 8 am empty & go load, come back 4 hrs later loaded... is this a reweigh or a first way? Same truck & trailer.. all info would still be the same.
Then go unload & come back 2 hrs later & weigh the same truck & trailer empty, is it still a reweigh on the same ticket number?
What do you do? Is it the right way to do it? OR should each of these weighs be a first weigh?

This pretty much answered my question. I just didn't know what Cats Scales rules were. I just didn't want to get on the scales & tell them its a reweigh, just to go inside & them fuss & b***h because I wasn't entitled to a reweigh. I understand what you first guys were saying about "good guys finish last" & "get all you can", but that wasn't exactly my question. I just wanted to know what the rules are & if its the way its supposed to work. If I go inside & I get fussed at, I just need to know what the rule/story is. If I am due a reweigh then there wont be a fuss.
