future team @ Watkins Shepard... 2 Questions

How much are w&s paying for teams ?

 

I am definitely interested I am looking at them here in new jersey.

Do they have terminal in Atlanta? - They seem to be a very nice company to work for. - I am considering applying with them...

 

Watkins out of Dalton Ga. teams and other wise will run Carpet out of there, Teams will run carpet to Santa Fe or to Montana, Then you will run a back load of flour or grain back to the east coast wash and repeat! Teams run well at W & S they will not get the multi Stop runs like the Solos, you will be cross country 4-7 times a month! The pay is less then some but you will be moving so it should make up for it!.

 

Top heavy carpet will be all the same, the rolls are not as tightly rolled as one would thing, most of the time it is re-rolled for a specific order, Thus making it lighter then a full roll out of the factory with the pile laid down after manufacturing! I hauled several loads of carpet in a 53' Dry Van and none of them were at gross. I don't think you will have top heavy issues.

not sure they have a terminal in ATL Ga but Dalton Ga. and Conover NC. They will work with you to get you home, Give them a call, they may not meet your needs as far as pay goes, I started out with them and left @ 6 Months at $.28 CPM I left for $.06 CPM's I should have just stayed! But shoulda coulda woulda! Take Care!

 

Not sure $.42 split I think! Never asked remember I despise teaming? Remember that!
