You ought to worry about it. Your company might decide you are a liar who ran their truck into something and fire you then report that to DAC. I don't understand the never care attitude but it is prevalent among drivers. I got a million safe miles at my first company and I took a lot of pride in that.

Having driven company supplied vehicles over the years, I treated them like they were mine. I like a clean interior, a wash job, and most of all, no garage time. It has been my experience almost every loaner or replacement had issue that I had to work out. I would rather keep what I have, I know the inside is clean, what the maintenance has been like, and what the down time has been. I can't understand why the it's a company truck I don't care attitude comes from, I am not sure who it reflects on worse, the person at the company that hired them, or the company who's attitude is it is an acceptable loss.

One thing I've learned from this site: Once I finally get my project truck pieced back together and on the road, I'm staying the heck away from truckstops with it. I'd probably cry if someone were to hit it.

One thing about my truck. In approaching 700k miles I haven't had to put a drop of oil in it. Sounds like I have a good one. :)

Our shop dreads when they have to work on it, because they know I'll find a laundry list of issues with whatever it is I'm driving that day. Clutch brakes and air leaks usually top that list.
