I guess Swift and some independent drivers that haul our stuff to Cali are going to be looking for different loads (unless their customers still buy our trash bags) I see a news report where the state Senate in Cali has banned plastic grocery bags. Guess the sale of our t-shirt bags just dropped a small amount...

When will the Cali commies make everyone wear a breath counter and fart counter so they can compute how much CO2 and Methane each citizen is putting out so they can gather even more greenie fee's and taxes....glad our trucks are banned from that communist commonwealth.

This is why we live in Las Vegas. I refuse to ever live in the state of Kommiefornia again. We have 3 children and 5 grand children living there and they are the only reason we go there. Im waiting for the day when you roll out of Whiskey Petes and into a border crossing check point and have to show your Papers to get into Kommiefornia.

The unload went quicker than the load, then off to Poly West. I think my wife might be bribing the weekend shipping crew there. Every time I think I'm gonna be able to go get a room at a casino and donate some to the economy of the Vegas area, they have my load ready so I don't need to. Load wasn't suppose to be ready until Tuesday, but sure enough, Sunday morning it is ready. And with me being the slave driver that I am...I can't pass up running while I have the hours. So it looks like another reset is in my future.

I am not sure when Poly officially credits the driver with the miles (at the time the driver turns in and logs the paperwork , when they pick up and process the paperwork turned in, or when the payroll runs) but the miles I post here are the miles I count when I drop my paperwork in the box. As of the 31st, I managed to turn 9500+ miles this month with a week off and my YTD is over 82k miles. So, even with all the extra time off for my house expansion, and any down time for mechanical issues, I am still topping 10k a month. Sure doesn't seem like I am running that hard?

I would like to thank the driver who left me a trailer without a tag light (socket and all were gone...wires cut)...a newer trailer with LED's...and I doubt anyone on the yard took it so it was brought in that way. It only took me an hour to fix (mainly because I didn't have the right size bolts to mount a whole new light...and didn't feel like waiting on Fleetnet to call Mike at home to get authorization to do it on a holiday weekend)...and the best part, no one will ever know I did it, so it'll be 1 less thing the shop can complain at me a out. So thanks...I hear Crete is in need of drivers...they have a lot of "stick it to the next guy" types over there, you'll fit right in.

I've never entered California in a non-commercial vehicle. What exactly do they ask people in cars? "Where ya headed?" Do they wave most through? I've always thought that was odd.

Comedian James P Connelly has a bit about them...he refers to them as "fruit Nazi's"...down in FL we call our Ag station attendants Cabbage Cops.

Does anyone know if their truck has a hood tilt sensor? I was trying to figure out some of these problems I am having with this truck since the shop visit. I found something on the drivers side inner hood above the inner fender. A little square box with 2 wires and a plug...then the matching end of a plug going into the hood wiring harness for the lights. I am thinking that this is a hood tilt sensor keeping the truck from autostarting when they are servicing it. It was unplugged, but not dirty like it's been unplugged long.

Also, my sputtering and random lack of power has gotten worse...it is now a severe squeal like a hole in one of the pressure lines between the turbo and the CAC...I hope it makes it back to Poly...I really don't want to spend any of my free time sitting in a motel waiting on a dealer to call

Already? That 4 letter word is showing up awfully early for my tastes.
