The programmers should be smart enough to program it with the companies hours of service as well as our own.
Or diligent enough. Maybe they are just too lazy or incompetent?

But that is 2 loads in a row that this has happened. And for no good reason.
I don't mind an extra couple of hours, but that is two days lost to needless waiting in this week alone.

It's a good thing that I am super rich from this job. Otherwise I might be really upset.

 

Swift sent me to pick up in Fresno on a Sunday. Of course the customer was closed. When I called in I was told that the order had the customers hours clearly stated as Monday-Saturday xxxx-xxxx. To add insult to injury the planner's solution was to have me to reposition to the Pilot in Castaic (which NEVER has any parking) and wait. I flat refused and waited on the original load which I picked up on Monday.

 

I was at the Pilot in Castaic yesterday, almost all parking has reserved signs in them and are empty. I have a feeling they are tired of the locals parking there and taking all the spots. There are better parking spots between Fresno and Castaic to park.

 

I was on time at 0700 in Hayward, CA this morning for my drop and was told no docks were empty. I would have to wait a couple hours.
Another Swift came in just after me and who knows how long he will wait. I got a door after about 2.25 hours.
At least they had an mt for me. There were 2 Swifties waiting for a door when I left and there were no more mt's.

Then I headed here to the Lathrop terminal after stopping at a Walmart.
80 loads short around here so I'm not expecting to get out of here until tomorrow.

Just as I was pulling in I got a pplan. Drop my mt at a place in Hayward and bobtail out.
I went in to dispatch and it was removed. The guy said that it was computer generated and was just trying to put me on 'something'. He said if it happens again to come back in so he can remove it again.
And as I was writing this another mt trailer move came in, this time to Richmond. It was removed as well.

 

See you in a few, as soon as my truck is ready i'll be heading down.

 

Here in Brandon, SD. There is life after Swift. Picked up my new truck today. It is a 2017 automatic

Probably be there between 5 and 6 ... depending on traffic ... going to take it to the shop for a 90 day. So I'll be in the lounge.

 

Seems that +1 crap has been hitting everyone. Bear in mind my student is at150hrs. Every freaking PPlan coming my way since after labor day has had an extra flipping day on it, if ran solo. A few were fixable. One I ate for a better load.

At any rate, I'm stuck here at the Americold in Dallas. Checked in an hour early. 2 hours later and no door. Headed to Johnstown NY. And as usual, a week before home time, NYC to SLC.
