The moron in this video shouldn't be allowed to drive a tricycle, much less a truck. When he entered the parking lot to the park and his gps was showing him 'on route' that should have been a big red flag to stop and figure it out, not just blindly proceed because he had a route on his gps.

Ive lost count of the number of times I've had to override what my GPS wanted me to do. It's called trip planning. Knowing where you're supposed to be and knowing when it doesn't look right.

 

Right because going over my 11 hrs, 70 hrs, or not taking an 30 min hour break within 8 hrs is Wayyyyyy more dangerous than taking a 18 wheeler over a pedestrian foot bridge.

People are too foolish or lazy to be tructed with a GPS. The smart ones use it as a TOOL, not a set of instructions.

TRIP PLANNING. Map and paper and pen. Then use your little screen if it makes you happy, or for the last couple of turns, or fuel or rest stops . . . whatever they do that's so helpful.

And no - Mr. Dui Pyle - can't say I've done the DUI or drug thing either. Now the exceeding hours thing . . . . . let's change the subject . . . . nice weather lately!!

You have to be smarter than the GPS, and there are a lot more like him out here.

 

Now we all now PTL is somewhat of a bottom feeder, but even they had to have some inclination that this driver was maybe not the sharpest tool on the shelf.
