is an overweight ticket a moving violation?

    From what i see i don't think it is a moving violation but is it something that is very frowned upon to possible employers?

    No. Some employers don’t like them. Mine couldn’t care less. In fact, he pays them.

    No. It's not a moving violation, and to the best of my knowledge, it doesn't affect your MVR. It is a misdemeanor citation, and if not paid, can be considered more serious.
    Bottom line, I don't think any driver has ever done jail time for being overweight. Best to just pay it and move on. Try to avoid it in the future...

    No. They are annoying though and I wouldn't want them on my license. They show up as, "misuse of equipment".

    The only negative story I have ever ever heard is that a O/O I know went to rent a Ferrari in Vegas and they saw that and would not rent it to him.

    That’s without a mother may I slip anyway.
