Most cops are psychic...they can tell when you've done something wrong...only 2 DOT logbook tickets I ever got were after I got lazy and didn't log the start of my day because the customer was only a short drive from where I stopped...sure enough, someone was randomly checking trucks, and I was the lucky winner.

I live in PA, in a town that had its post office closed, so I have two zip codes. The old one still works, and the new one is in another town and so does not match my physical address. But the license borough put the new zip on my license and the other town.

But all our credit cards were set up with our physical address which uses the old zip code. So I ordered a new license online with penndot, so now I have two plastic licenses with my cdl on them.

I also got a school bus endorsement, so I have 3 plastic cdl licenses.

I dont think I had to pay anything for the cards.

If you have the hours to get it, go get it.

Have the manager there send you a picture of your license to your smartphone or email, or fax so you have a copy while you drive.

    TravR1 Thanks this.

It helps to memorize your DL #..
I take pictures of cdl, twic, medical card and upload it to Google drive. That way I can always show something to whoever needs it in the the event my wallet get ripped off or I have a polish moment!

    Farmerbob1 and TravR1 Thank this.

It's against the law to carry a spare ID.

Its not a spare is it on a phone? . It's a picture on your phone accessible in the event you need to download it from Google drive. Guess it depends on how much of a Richard Cranium the officer is...

I just did that 2 weeks ago. Imagine losing your cell and wallet together. It’s the only thing I think could be worse.

Well it sucks that I got all these good replies. I didn't know Loves overnights stuff.. Photocopys on phones.. All these ingenious ideas, after I drove 200 miles back, then 200 up to my starting point.

Oh well, I know now. I'm surprised that hooligan on the phone didnt say anything about overnighting

My codriver wakes up, so how far did ya get last night? 100 miles.
