How many of you ran into a situation like this. One of the stops is a receiver that is impossible to get to with a semi (hotshot warehouse I think). Receiver has 1 way to get to but there’s a low bridge. 12’8. Take the load back or what? Broker is playing hide and seek.
Take it back or find somewhere else to drop it off and have them arrange for it to be delivered. It would seem that they would have put that into the delivery notes about the bridge. I will be compensated for the trouble you took me through it's like going into nyc there is an inconvenience fee added to the rate.
I can fit my truck and flatbed thru that... How far away is it from the bridge? Tell them to bring the forklift over or take it back
You’re pulling a skateboard. How tall are you? Is that because of your truck or another part of your “ltl” load??? Imo you’ll have to pay another transport company to make your delivery. This is on you as the carrier. You took the load & promised the delivery of it. Now you have to make that happen. If you post up what city & state the cosignee is in someone here may be able to help you find the help you need. Edit: if it’s just your stacks, pull your top stacks off and put them back on after your delivery. I have 90’s to put in my mufflers i have to use them every once in a while. My stacks are 13’2”, with the 90’s i’m well under 10’
There's supposed to be a yard somewhere where things pick up or drop off. This situation happens a lot in the right states. California being one of them. And unless you have a reason why you can't fit under there. Go deliver. Not a problem for midroof trucks.
