Slow it down to the recommended speed and the right gear and you don't have to touch the brakes!! Cough Cough!!!

Try telling Dot it's only "Recommended" then tell us how that works out for you.

I think that was a Magnum change to the Peoplenet parameters.

Along with the annoying loaded shipper/empty cosignee form that won't go away.

Anyone know if Illinois DOT will allow a truck to park for a few hours or even overnight at one of their weigh stations?

Wasn't talking about the Peoplenet screen. I was referring to the trucks LCD.

I use less brakes going down a hill like I do than I do in rush hour traffic in any major city or in a construction backup. So I should avoid those as well?

But once again, I bring up a non-confruntational observation about a couple pieces of equipment and it turns into a dogpile on how snackbar is wrong....again. I will end this discussion by saying this...I have done it this way for 22 years, never had a close call, never smoked my brakes, always have enough brake available to stop quick to avoid the unexpected...and if that is doing it wrong, oh well. Ya'll drive your trucks your way, I will continue to drive my way...I wonder why I even bother saying anything on here any more.

Picked up in Huntersville NC on Tuesday. Got 2 hrs detention. Drove on up to Fargo and dropped that load in the yard this afternoon. Nick will have someone else deliver. I dropped it at the trailer shop. Had a marker light blinking on and off... loose wire or short... they jumped right on it.
I'm picking up down in Wahpeton ND first thing tomorrow morning going to Denmark, SC
Wahpeton said to get there early, back into the door, take a nap and they will wake me up when they start loading it around 0600 Nice people down there.
