I had a leaking wheel seel. They did it on the lot and yes it was leaking. They didn't tell me I couldn't leave the lot. The guy on the lot is right there, which is easier and quicker for me. Also I had a leaking air line, only when the brakes were applied on the trailer.

Not only can you leave the yard , if you need to go farther than 25 miles you can ask , and if you have a good reason they will let you go farther to get your truck repaired

I know of 3 local companies that regularly work out of the lot, no service call fee. Knowles is only one of them. And any of the others will come to the lot, tho some will charge you a service call. While i don't particular like knowles, in fact they are my last choice cause i don't like that kids personality, they are no more gaited by mercer than any other truck repair company.

As for wheels seals specifically being a problem, they are commonly misdiagnosed as leaking, by any truck inspector including the dot, because almost every idiot oil change specialist aka talking monkey, over gears the s cam business and the grease drops down into the brakes, which then it's squeezed out when apply the brakes. You can take it all apart and clean them if they are not competent satuated, but if you got it all apart any way, slap new shoes on. Shoes are cheap.

Don't worry. I have it on good authority that the AG in Kentucky is looking into their scam.

Not to forget the DOD is already investigating a few brokers and an owner operator with a nice yellow truck for some crooked dealings to get military loads. You all know who it is. Wonder why we don't get a lot of military freight anymore like we used to. DUH!!!! They are being investigated!!!

What lesson is to be learned from this. Watch the news when Mercer gets stepped on again from the Feds.

Well @MOGLAR without any proof of what your saying you are just blowing smoke out your ### just another truck stop story. I see military loads at least 1 time a week. now you got to think we are not at war so that's a lot less loads.. it's fall less drills. government cut backs plus a #### load is going on trains....

A guy in the 12,000's should know better than to go to Louisville with anything that looks like it could fail. I would assume oil was on the hubs, because you said hub not & seal, so why not wash it off before going for a inspection?

Well I missed my chance to lease on this year and will have to wait until April.
It has changed to 6 months of recent flatbed experience to lease on. Gives me time to buy a trailer!
