Get something better. At least the Coleman or equivalent for now but if your truck won't fit a proper fridge I would suggest getting something good, like an engel or whatever. Rather pricey, 600ish dollars, but you can make that up in the money you save eating healthy out of grocery stores instead of junk food.blairandgretchen, Tigger0216 and G13Tomcat Thank this.

Yes, it can be done. That does not mean it is safe. Open flames or exposed heating elements in a truck are one step away from a nasty fire.
Even if you are perfect, the idiot that bumps your trailer hard enough to knock over your heart source will burn your truck down just as quick as if you had knocked it over yourself. -
We got ten years out of an Engel - it’s retired now but still working. Full temp control down to freeze.

Never load up either the cooler or frig more than a few days of perishables, something can go bad and then your meals are going to go bad.
