I swear I had to placard each compartment when I hauled chemicals. I could be wrong though

When I did some compartment trailers, every compartment that contained Haz had to be placarded.

    Dave1837 Thanks this.

IMG_4439.jpeg Every compartment needs its own placard for what’s on board

    D.Tibbitt and Dave1837 Thank this.

I haul aviation fuel, either AVgas or Jet.
You can not mix loads. You cannot have a couple compartments with AvGas and a couple loaded with Jet.
Trailers are dedicated so only the appropriate placard is used, like 1863 for Jet.
Automotive fuels can be mixed and only requires it’s appropriate placard

Speedy356, wis bang and Rugerfan Thank this.

That's a chemical requirement. For some reason, fuel haulers only need to placard each side, not each compartment.

    kemosabi49 Thanks this.

    That sounds like a positive!

Well, except for hand cramps you'll get when it's time to change the UN numbers.

Makes sense. Even putting DEF in diesel tank the only risk to life/limb is the boss. But a plane if wrong fuel . I assume engine might not function? Depending on mix people could die. Local truck island in my area had gasoline dumped into one diesel tank underground. It took over 8 months for them to dilute it to legal to sell ratios. *I did not buy diesel there during that time.*. I don’t think I have bought fuel there since. There is a percentage of E10 they can mix with road diesel without telling you. I doubt 30 people knew about it. Over an decade ago.
