ok so now I’m down to these two companies been approved by both I no Millis has a terminal in ny about 3 hours from me not sure where the closest prime terminal is but I don’t see many Millis trucks going thru my town only once in a while but I see at least 5 or 6 prime trucks a day going thru now should I pick prime because of seeing there trucks so often for home time

Prime has one of the worst reputations in the industry. Just because you see a lot of them going thru your home town doesn't mean you can stop and spend time there.

I would go Millis. Prime pushes their lease down every one’s throat. That alone would keep me away.

It all depends on what your priorities are. Prime may have a bad reputation, but I personally cant speak on them. You cant really use people's opinions when choosing a company because they all have ambassadors and complainers. One person may have a bad experience at Prime or Millis but yours may be grade A. Talk to each company and ask the right questions. Whichever leaves you with a better feeling, roll with them

Millis runs eastern half of the USA.
Prime runs coast to coast and border to border.

The first thing you must decide is if you want to pull reefers or dry vans. They are two totally different types of trucking that will take getting used to.

I do dry van loads in a reefer.
Can’t do reefer loads in a dry van.

    Go with Millis

Both are trucking schools. Prime will have you team driving with a “trainer” for slave wages for a few months minimum. Probably won’t see home much in that time or ever as long as you drive for Prime. Then they’ll illustrate how the only way to make some real money is to lease and then train........

Millis you’ll be home weekly. Great place to get some experience before moving on to hopefully a company you can retire from.

Well, either way, Millis or Prime, it's only a 12 month contract.
Decide if you want to do that 12 months running 48 states or do it running eastern half of the USA.
