You know that one of covenants 400 truck divisions was shut down by the fmcsa, right? 400 trucks.
And my uncle drive for Covenant, he says they are even worse than JB Hunt, and nowhere even remotely comparable to Crete.

US Xpress let's us fuel anywhere & fill up each and every time.
Davezilla does not know what he's talking about.jungledrums Thanks this. -
I went to USXpress orientation last year. They are a mess. So is their csa score. Not to mention charging you a dollar per mile to go to a truckstop. So like if you need to leave a receiver after unloading, you get charged for following the rules and getting off their property. No bathroom at shipper of receiver? Well, too bad, you know have to pay to go find yourself the nearest John. It's criminal is what it is.
-
Well perhaps they shouldn't tell you that in their own orientation then. Or tell you about the computer that automatically beeps at you to get back on route and charges you money. Or that you have to pull over and ask to be reputed past a detour, or else be charged.
Thats exactly what they told a class of 70 people, which I was one of. -
What Davezilla says about teaming at usxpress is all lies. We've never had a problem with fueling, and we always fill up. If we want to fuel somewhere other than what the fuel route says, we call the fuel dept and they always say "Ok"!
Our fleet manager is a great guy that has bent over backwards for us, allowed me extra home time when I needed it.
We have a brand new freightliner cascadia that rides like a cadillac.
We drive on a dedicated account that keeps us rolling, guaranteed pay of 4700 miles each week.
Usxpress is horrendous? I'd have to say this company has been an answered prayer for us. We are treated VERY good here and our bank account is steadily growing.TruckDuo Thanks this. -
I can't imagine how anybody would be happy working at a company that operates as you describe. And yet, there seem to be plenty of happy drivers at U.S. Xpress. And I've never heard anybody else speak of the conditions you mention here. You'd think these kinds of things would have been widely complained about by many others here . . . yet that has not been the case.
I wonder if there is a story about what happened after orientation?TruckDuo Thanks this. -
The dude is delusional about usxpress. They've never said one word to us about not following their trip route.
What's this about drivers being charged money to drive to nearest truck stop? WTH? Haha haha
He must be on drugs, or in need of psych meds.TruckDuo Thanks this. -
Davezilla, what drugs are you on ?
They don't charge you $1.00/mile. My wife and I have gone 50+ miles to shower at a Pilot & 50 miles back to the shipper. They never said anything. Then we proceeded to idle for the rest of the day while waiting for the load that was going get us home.
Every year we've been here....we've been given a brand new truck. Going to make around $60k this year & been home a lot.
What happened to you at USX orientation ?
My friend..... please please put down the drugs.AppalachianTrucker and jungledrums Thank this. -
Sounds like davezilla is easily confused. USX does charhe out of route miles. But you have to go WAY out of route, like going home 100 miles without permission or something. Ive only heard one story about a guy getting charged out of route, on here, and it seemed like he deserved it. Pretty sure thats how it works everywhere. The fueling is very lax too. If you fuel without authorization you get charged 25 bucks. All it takes is a quick call for approval tho, never shot down. Heck, i had a new partner that didnt understand that once, and fuel without calling. When i called the next day, they warned me about the policy and removed the charge.
Theres plenty of problems at USX, but id mop floors before working at werner, lol.TruckDuo, NoCoCraig and jungledrums Thank this.
