The company (mega) just bought the contents of the truck, unless they have insurance and i can't see how they don't have insurance.

It happens. I had a load of watermelon refused because the consignee claimed "it looked like crap." LOL it looked like product that was hand selected for an advertising layout in a glossy magazine. I had the driver cut 2 melons open to prove it was all good. If it had been me, some of that would have been disposed of into my fridge. Especially that one on the left with the thinner rind.
The broker very quickly re-sold the load to a wholesaler not too far away, and paid for the delay and extra stop to relocate it.
What actually happened in this case is the original consignee needed it fast and placed orders for more than one truck. They received the first one and refused us and any others that came in later. Buyers that do that usually don't last long in the industry. Eventually they burn enough produce brokers and farmers, and the word gets around.
