    Shipper resell the chicken to the Market it’s not gonna be a claim It won’t hurt my company so all good

    I suspect that anyone who ran a truck like that and sold it to someone without warning them is going to be a sufficiently knowledgeable criminal that they don't actually 'own' anything.

    Might be worth looking at, but at this point, I doubt the effort would get a worthwhile reward after the lawyer is paid for.

    HOWEVER, it might be interesting to approach DOT and tell them what modifications the truck was sold with, AFTER the illegal modifications are fixed. DOT would possibly consider making the seller's life difficult, without costing the OP anything.
