True. I'm holding out hope that they are wrong on the Watts just on the fact that searching on google for a 1300 Watt inverter doesent find much. Only really find them in 1000/1500/1800/2000+ unless its really cheap ones. And if its warrantied by Freightliner than it makes sense that it would be one they offered. So 1000/1500/1800. It looks like they put 1500 watt factory inverters in the AreoX New Cascadias.

Looking at the pictures of whats offered its basically the same inverter as the ThermoKing with different markings so It would fit in all trucks anyways, and I'm sure IHF is easier for them to use for install than sending the trucks out to the Tulsa KW/PB dealer.

One can hope though that they are going to "Unify" the inverters with the TK APUs, instead of giving hobbled units. I mean, I'd even pay for the upgrade to 1800 vice 13/1500 if that was an option.

Just tried to make my delivery at Walmart in Gordonsville, VA. Got turned around at the gate because someone screwed up the appointment. Dispatch says today at 1630, WM system says Friday at 1630.

Mine's just the opposite. 200 some mile empty, picked up Sunday no appt set. 1150 mile loaded, appt now set for Friday. Send Mac41 no response. Completed a 70 hour reset still no response. Guess I'm stuck with a weak week.

    Drivers:
We've been talking a lot around here recently about APU's. Here are couple questions we'd like to get response(s) to:
    1. Would you drive a truck you owned or leased without an APU on it?
    2. Would you drive a company truck without an APU on it (if the company allowed you to idle the truck)?
    3. What brand of APU do you prefer & WHY?
Any other comments regarding APU's will be appreciated. I can say from talking with other large fleets, there are significantly varying opinions as it relates to APU's
Thanks in advance for responses & have a good & safe day!

    1. Would you drive a truck you owned or leased without an APU on it?
No . If I am spending 100k plus it better be comfortable.
    2. Would you drive a company truck without an APU on it (if the company allowed you to idle the truck)?
NO unless it's a daycab. Would you rent an apartment without air conditioning?
    3. What brand of APU do you prefer & WHY?
thermoking. My TK had way less problems plus the APU did not have to run to watch TV when it was cool outside. It seemed to use less fuel.

Now I left JCT for family issues but I can say if I come back OTR I would want to come back to JCT but if y'all get rid of the APU I would avoid ya. The cost benefit of an APU is huge for a driver that lives in a rig. If I idled it cost me more and at JcT you are already having a fine line for profits.
